Quote From Clement's First Epistle

Clement a presbyter in the Church at Rome wrote in the first century an epistle to the Corinthian Church. In that letter, he penned these words of comfort, "Look carefully into the Scriptures, which are the true utterances of the Holy Spirit. Observe that nothing of an unjust or counterfeit character is written in them."
